Inspiration

The wonderful Guilherme Werneck is an artist i greatly admire, he currently resides in Brazil, however i have had the privilege to work with him for 2 weeks. His work is vastly different from my own, however his fabric pieces have always fascinated me. The delicacy and lightness of these pieces with the natural and curvaceous shapes really draw me in. I want to develop skills in using fabric, to create this surreal lightness.  I will tailor it more to my human form obsession!

Self Promotion

It has come to my attention the need to start promoting myself as an Artist. There are hundreds of Artists already out there, some accomplished and well known, some trying to make a dent within the art world, this is the first of my attempts to be seen.

The need for this blog is to display my current and on going pieces, whether they are an unfinished project or proudly completed pieces. I am not technologically minded, but honestly what artist really is, we pride our selves with our hands on approach, so bare with me as i try and discover my computer based side!

I am a fine art student studying at Leeds College of Art, mainly focusing on sculpture and 3D materials. its a journey of self discovery, excitement and discipline. Through the creating of this blog i hope to share with the public this wonderful journey of an artist.
